At Lucky’s, we believe food is the connection that ties us all together. It speaks directly to our beliefs, our character and our purpose. It not only fuels our body but gives us amazing opportunities to gather and connect with people. We believe in creating strong, lasting memories through nutritious food and recognize that by sharing food, we create meaningful connections and extend our family.

We seek out local, organic, sustainable and traditionally crafted foods made with purpose and pride. We are passionate about gaining knowledge and act conscientiously, recognizing that our decisions impact each other, the community and the Earth.

Independently owned and operated, Lucky’s values and emphasizes transparency, not only with the products and services we provide, but through our actions, procedures and protocols.

In 2003, chefs and food lovers, Trish and Bo Sharon, opened Lucky’s Market in Boulder, Colorado. Their vision was to create a grocery store with a genuine personal touch that offered quality products at an affordable price. Almost 10 years later, we continue to make a meaningful impact in our community by displaying thought and purpose in our actions, selling quality products and providing entertaining and educated service.

We would be nothing without our relationships and we treat our customers as an extension of our family. Of course, our suppliers are an equally integral part of our success- the artisans, ranchers, farmers, bakers and candlestick makers that help make Lucky’s…well, lucky.

Our produce department is focused on the three key components: local, organic, and value-driven. We passionately support local farmers and organic foods. We believe in getting our hands in the soil and take literal staff “field trips” to better understand where our food comes from. Last but far from least, we are committed to selling produce that is the best value in town. It’s impossible to cook great food without great ingredients and we want to put the best into the hands of all our customers.

Lucky’s is proud to sell “Never-Ever” meats, the USDA’s classification for meat that requires the animal to never be treated with growth promotants or antibiotics and to never be fed animal by-products. We believe that respect for animals and their living environment is essential to quality. We personally walk the fields of our ranches and can say without a doubt that we are selling the best meats possible. Using our culinary talents, we also make our own wide variety of house-made sausages, cure our own nitrate-free bacon and smoke some of the best ribs and chicken this side of the Mississippi.

Since Lucky’s was founded by two chefs (remember Bo & Trish), you’ll notice that our prepared foods taste far better than most grocery stores. The Deli is the magnetic food pole for all things good, yummy, and bursting with flavor. Like other departments, the Deli promotes local ingredients whenever possible- do you detect a pattern here? Our foods cover the culinary spectrum of house-roasted meats, freshly prepared foods, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and otherwise. Talk about a Food Diversity Program! But the really cool thing about the Deli is that it changes with the seasons and on a frequent basis, keeping our customers curious as to what will be coming out of the case the next.

Bakehouse & Creamery

Pastry Chef Jen Bush hand-crafts some of Boulder’s finest baked goods, available fresh daily at Lucky’s Bakehouse and Creamery, Lucky’s Market, as well in dishes at Lucky’s Cafe. The Creamery makes organic small batch ice cream year round and provides the atmosphere of a community gathering place for Boulder neighbors and families.

Hidden around the corner from the Market, Lucky’s Cafe is where the locals come to eat. Chef James Van Dyk brings a new meaning to comfort food, sourcing local ingredients and crafting dishes that rival any restaurant in town. Serving breakfast and lunch daily, the cafe features several dishes that can be easily re-created while shopping at the Market.
